National Kazoo Day Celebrated January 28th
We're not sure who started National Kazoo Day but we know that the kazoo was first invented around the 1840 but it was only commercially produced around 1912.
Today you can visit the factory museum in Eden, NY.
The kazoo was co-invented by Alabama Vest and Thaddeus Von Klegg.
Kazoos can be made of plastic, metal, wood or other materials and each one has a unique sound. You are not suppose to blow into a kazoo you have to hum into it and these are not toys they are musical instruments.
